Without Fear of Tomorrow / Fără frica de mâine

What’s something you used to worry about but don’t anymore?

I used to fear tomorrow — what I would eat, what I would wear, what my life would look like years from now. That worry gnawed at me unnoticed, and the more I dwelt on it, the more it grew, like a shadow lengthening toward sunset.

Now I no longer fear tomorrow, for I have understood that tomorrow’s trouble is sufficient unto itself (Matthew 6:34), and He who feeds the birds of the sky will not abandon me, who was made in His image. I have not escaped worry because my life became settled — but because I learned to place the beginning of each day into the hands of Him who holds all days. For man does not find peace when he sees the future, but when he sees God in today.
