The most harmful trend in history is the habit of polishing falsehood until it shines.
When a man is wounded, he hides behind elegant words.
When he strays, he blames the times.
When he fears the truth, he calls his fear “freedom.”
If I could erase one trend, I would erase the human tendency to decorate lies until they look harmless.
Because nothing weakens the soul more than the refusal to stand face‑to‑face with itself.
Truth needs no fashion.

Cea mai primejdioasă modă din istorie este obiceiul omului de a lustrui minciuna până pare virtute.
Când inima îi sângerează, se ascunde în vorbe frumoase.
Când se rătăcește, dă vina pe vremuri.
Când fuge de adevăr, numește fuga „libertate”.
Dacă aș putea șterge un trend, aș șterge tendința omului de a împodobi minciuna până devine acceptabilă.
