There are days when a person feels he is making progress, and days when he thinks he has lost everything. But God does not measure the journey by our feelings, but by the faithfulness with which we continue to walk.
The enemy often seeks to weary the soul, whispering that the struggle is too long, that prayer bears no fruit, and that change will never come. Yet these thoughts are not the truth. The truth is that God is at work even when our eyes do not see and our hearts do not feel.
Just as a seed grows secretly beneath the soil before it appears above the ground, so grace works in the depths of the soul before its fruits become visible. Very often, God’s greatest work is accomplished in silence.
Do not compare yourself with others, nor judge yourself by a single day. Look only to Christ, and today take the next step of obedience. God does not ask you to reach perfection all at once; He asks you never to stop walking toward Him.
When you feel your strength failing, do not say, “I can do no more.” Say instead, “Lord, You can in me.” Then your weakness will become the place where His power is revealed.
“Let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.” (Galatians 6:9)
