What’s a quote that perfectly describes your outlook on life?
I don’t have a quote that describes my life — I have one that demands it. “I no longer live, but Christ lives in me” is not a beautiful thought, it’s a target. Every day is a small dying to self, so that Christ may grow a little more in me. The Jesus Prayer is nothing else than this word repeated until it stops being speech and becomes life.

Nu am un citat care descrie viața mea, ci unul care o cere. “Nu mai trăiesc eu, ci Hristos trăiește în mine” — acesta nu e un gând frumos, e o țintă. Fiecare zi e o luptă să mor puțin mai mult sieși, ca Hristos să crească puțin mai mult în mine. Rugăciunea inimii nu e altceva decât acest cuvânt spus întruna, până ce nu mai e vorbă, ci viață.
