The Power of Small Things

The Kingdom of God is built not only through great deeds, but above all through faithfulness in small things.

People often look for extraordinary opportunities to serve God, forgetting that every moment contains a divine calling. A gentle word, a temptation overcome in silence, an evil thought driven away through prayer, a thanksgiving offered to God for an ordinary day—all these are unseen stones from which the inner man is built.

The enemy does not despise small things, for he knows that habits are born from them, and habits eventually shape the heart. Likewise, grace does not overlook small acts. It is poured out upon the soul that remains faithful where no one sees and no one praises.

Do not say, “I will begin when I have more time,” or “when I am in a different season of life.” Today is the day of salvation, and this present moment is the place where you meet God.

The one who is faithful in little prepares, without realizing it, a great dwelling place for grace. God looks less at the size of the deed and more at the faithfulness of the heart.

“He who is faithful in a very little is faithful also in much.” (Luke 16:10)
