Not every delay is God’s absence. Very often, what we call delay is the time in which God is preparing the heart for the gift He desires to bestow.
People look at the clock; God looks at the soul. We long for immediate answers, but the Lord works with eternity in view. If He sometimes granted what we ask before we were ready to receive it, the gift itself could become a cause of pride or even ruin.
Waiting is a school of faith. It reveals whether we seek God merely for His gifts or for God Himself. When prayer remains steadfast even without a visible answer, love is gradually purified of self-interest and grows into genuine trust.
Do not mistake God’s silence for abandonment. Seeds do not sprout on the day they are sown, and roots grow in secret. In the same way, grace often works deep within the heart quietly and without visible signs. What seems motionless today may bear abundant fruit tomorrow.
Wait for the Lord without murmuring and without despair. Every moment spent in faithfulness prepares the soul for the meeting with His will. God is never late; He always comes at the time that leads to salvation.
“Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; yes, wait for the Lord.” (Psalm 27:14)
