Peace does not come when God fulfills our will, but when the heart learns to embrace His.
A person makes many plans and becomes discouraged when they do not come to pass. Yet God sees what we cannot. He knows the end from the beginning, perceives hidden dangers, and prepares our good through paths that the human mind cannot fully understand.
To embrace God’s will does not mean giving up prayer or abandoning good desires. It means saying, after doing all that lies within your power, “Lord, if this draws me closer to You, let Your will be done.” In such surrender there is no defeat, but the true freedom of the heart.
Many times God closes one door to protect us from what we cannot see, and He opens another when the soul is ready to pass through it. The one who trusts in His providence ceases to murmur and begins to give thanks even before understanding.
Do not ask God to bless all your plans. Ask Him to give you the strength to embrace His plan. Then you will discover that the will of God is not a burden, but the sure path to peace.
“Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.” (Matthew 6:10)
