There are times when a person’s greatest work is to stop relying on himself and make room for God to work.
People often want to control everything: time, other people, circumstances, and even the way God should act. But grace does not submit to human will. It comes to the heart that humbles itself, prays, and knows how to wait.
Entrusting your life to God does not mean becoming passive. It means faithfully doing what depends on you while placing into His hands what lies beyond your strength. Anxiety adds nothing to God’s love, and worry without hope changes nothing. A heart entrusted to the Lord, however, finds peace even before the answer appears.
Very often God works in silence. While you think nothing is happening, He is preparing the heart, opening unseen paths, and arranging meetings that you will understand only later. Faith perceives His hand even when the eyes see only waiting.
Do not try to carry alone what God is calling you to entrust to Him. Place the burden in His hands and remain faithful. The one who knows how to wait before the Lord will discover that God is never late, but always acts at the perfect time.
“Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass.” (Psalm 37:5)
